Placements24 is seeking a dependable General Freight Driver to service routes within and around Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of goods, maintaining company standards and client expectations.

A seasoned driver with strong route knowledge and a safety-focused attitude is preferred. The role offers a competitive monthly salary, company-provided vehicle, and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid Code 10 license with PDP.
• Minimum 2 years of experience driving commercial freight vehicles.
• Good knowledge of route networks in the Eastern Cape is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate a medium-duty truck to transport general freight across the Eastern Cape.
• Plan daily routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling and weight distribution.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation.
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations throughout the operating area.
