Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Ensure compliance with company and statutory regulations regarding cleanliness and hygiene in all tasks undertaken.
  2. Maintain quality standards for customer service, operating processes, health and safety, and food safety.
  3. Assist in meal preparation, especially salads and desserts.
  4. Arrange entrees, salads, desserts, and other food items on the serving line.
  5. Keep the serving line well-stocked and clean.
  6. Assist in training new employees when necessary.
  7. Store and record food leftovers appropriately.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of canteen tables, kitchen, and other areas.
  9. Ensure customer expectations are met within the provisions of the contract.
  10. Provide high levels of customer service within the area of responsibility.
  11. Count and sign over stock in the designated area to the correct staff on the following shift, where applicable.
  12. Carry out any reasonable requests made by management.
  13. Report and, where possible, address customer and client complaints or compliments.
  14. Attend meetings and training courses as required.
  15. Perform related work as assigned.
