Job description

This General Assistant role entails assisting with daily deliveries operations of the warehouse, handling of incoming stock, packing and shipping orders.

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 08 : 00-16 : 30

Reports to : Warehouse Supervisor

Responsibilities :

• Assist with daily deliveries.
• Pick and fill orders from stock.
• Pack and ship orders.
• Ensure packed and shipped orders are loaded and secured for their delivery.
• Hand over (load) orders for clients at the dispatch area.
• Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas.
• Assist with warehouse equipment where needed, example forklifts and stackers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
• Work with and support warehouse staff for daily operation of the warehouse.

Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Grade 12 / Matric
• Experience with deliveries and handling of inventory.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks - advantageous
• Experience within food service equipment industry - advantageous
• Strong interpersonal skills
