Job description

As an Executive Search and Career Consultant specializing in the niche market of Supply Chain, we represent some of the top leaders and are called upon by blue chip organizations in the country to secure talent and assist them in building high performance teams. A leading FMCG company is looking for a GCC Factory Engineer to be based at their factory in Estcourt, KZN. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the site's fixed assets are capable of performing and consistently fit for the purpose for which they were intended. The key being asset reliability and overall plant performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the technical integrity and availability of equipment complies with all regulations.
  • Ensure that Good Engineering Practices are being applied at all times.
  • Ensure the implementation of all repairs/modifications resulting from gap analysis.
  • Ensure that all mechanics receive direct on-the-line coaching in machinery and line operation skills in respect to the requirements of Hygienic engineering.
  • Ensure that the highest principles of ethical conduct on behalf of the community, consumer, company, and the engineering profession are adhered to and that all dealings are maintained within a competitive and fair environment and above reproach.
  • Ensure that the requirements of the client are maintained at all times in accordance with the business needs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical field, preferably in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
  • Degree/Diploma (4 year) in engineering, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering and a government ticket of competency for factories mandatory.
