GC / GP Diving Coach

Our primary intention is to educate and empower girls, raising them in ways that are responsive to the challenges unique to women. We aim to be the leaders in girls’ education, with the focus on nurturing individual skills and dispositions, equipping girls to engage confidently and with a sense of purpose. Our girls work within a values-based framework in order to make decisions with good intent.

Job Description

The College invites applications for the above-mentioned part-time position, which will be available from 1 January 2024. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills, passion, and competencies to take on this position. This position will require up to 25 – 30 hours per week including attendance at meets/competitions.

Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be required to plan and lead the activities of the Girls’ Prep and Girls’ College diving teams including:

1. Daily training
2. Tours & Camps
3. Internal marketing of the sport
4. Long-term planning and budgeting
5. Other general admin tasks as required for the effective running of the sport

Job Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years coaching experience at an advanced level
• Must have previous personal diving experience
• A high level of personal diving or coaching experience in school is required
• A professional Degree in Phys Ed, Sports Science or Sports administration would be an added advantage
• Proof of sexual offender’s clearance certificate. Any staff working within a school are required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate.
• A willingness to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College as well as participation in the broader life of the school.
