The Grass Pad is hiring a Garden Center Customer Service representative to work in our Bonner Springs location. When people visit, they are greeted by a Garden Center Customer Service who answers questions, helps find the right grass seed or lawn care products, including flowers, perennials, shrubs, and trees, and provides advice for success.
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service for all clients, from commercial to first-time lawn care customers.
Grass Pad focuses on providing solutions and teamwork to ensure the best service.
No formal training in lawn or landscape is needed – we will train you on the job. This position offers great growth potential for the right person. If you love helping people, this might be for you.
Our goal is for our customers to succeed, starting with you. You should have a friendly personality, enjoy talking to people, and be comfortable working in an open-air, team-oriented environment that cares for the environment.
Excellent communication skills are essential, and you should be able to explain complex topics simply. Experience in customer service or sales is preferred. Bonus points if you have an interest in lawn, landscape, or outdoor activities.
Typical day includes greeting customers, guiding them through lawn care programs and nursery options, problem-solving lawn or plant issues, bagging seed, writing tickets for checkout, and assisting with design, merchandising, restocking, and store cleaning.

Education and/or Experience : Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and training, or equivalent combination.
