Job summary

JVR Software in Cape Town is seeking a Furniture Sales Consultant to provide professional service to decorators, designers, developers and architects visiting our showroom. You will help clients choose furniture and fabrics, meet sales targets and follow up with customers to maximise sales.

You will also manage stock inquiries, keep the showroom tidy and deliver excellent after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Matric is the minimum education level.
• 2+ years' experience in retail.
• Good retail skills and customer focus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Consistently achieve sales targets.
• Ensure high level customer satisfaction by providing excellent sales and after sales service.
• Assisting clients by giving valuable advice on products, fabrics, accessories, and identifying and meeting a customer’s needs.
• Maximise sales opportunities by following up with existing customers.
• Act as a single point of contact for customer questions, stock enquiries and efficient product tracking for delivery.
• Sales related administration
• Assisting in keeping the showroom neat and tidy

Skills required

• Minimum education level: Matric.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in retail.
• Good retail skills.
• Computer literacy: Microsoft Office.
• Previous background of in a customer facing environment in sales, admin and retail would be advantageous.
