Role Description

This is a temporary on-site role for a Furniture Designer located in the City of Cape Town. The Furniture Designer will be responsible for creating and developing furniture designs, collaborating with the design team, and assisting in the production and fabrication of furniture pieces. Daily tasks include sketching design concepts, selecting materials, and ensuring the functionality and aesthetics of the final products meet our high standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Furniture Design and Carpentry skills
• Experience in Interior Design and Product Design
• Strong understanding of furniture construction and materials
• Excellent sketching and design software skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Previous experience in a design studio or similar setting is a plus
• Degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Product Design, or related field

Please note that this is on a 6 week contract basis and you have to be located in Cape Town.
