About the Role

This role is part of the Credit Applications Department within our Business Bank, handling credit applications such as overdrafts, credit cards, and term loans.

The Level III Software Engineer is involved in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and operation.

They design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, ensuring scalability and performance, and guide developers and stakeholders in resolving engineering issues.

Candidate Requirements

• Grade 12 National Certificate (Minimum)
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology (Preferred)
• 6+ years' proven experience in back-end software development, project delivery, and implementation in relevant technologies/languages

Experience with back-end frameworks and technologies, proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices, and leveraging event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka, AWS Event Bridge, or RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing, real-time data streaming, and scalable system interactions.
