Job Title: Fund Accountant

Reporting to a Manager within the Fund Accounting Division of Apex, the Fund Accountant will prepare accurate portfolio valuations and financial statements.

The role involves preparing timely and accurate portfolio valuations and maintaining the underlying accounting records for various funds, including domestic, offshore, hedge funds, and partnerships.

You will typically be responsible for approximately 3 to 6 portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly portfolio valuations.
• Maintain accounting records for assigned funds.
• Liaise with fund managers, brokers, and custodians to communicate information and resolve issues promptly.
• Reconcile brokerage and custodian accounts.
• Establish strong client relationships and provide high-quality service.
• Assist external auditors and support audit processes.
• Identify errors and inconsistencies during reviews.

• Commerce, Honors, or Business Science Degree with Financial Accounting.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
