Fund Accountant position available in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Our Financial Services Investments client who manages project funds / project funding is looking for a fund accountant with 3 min experience in financial accounting. Completed Articles advantageous.

Solid experience in fund accounting.

Salary up to R800 000 – 12 months fixed term contract (can be renewed after 12 months based on funding).

Requirements

• Minimum ACIS, ACMA or BCom Hons in Accounting
• Solid experience in fund accounting
• Completed Articles is advantageous
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial accounting
• Post-graduate Diploma in taxation is preferable

Responsibilities

• Generate monthly and annual management accounts for project funds
• Develop and run financial reports
• Present financial analysis and findings on the reports
• Implement the fund budget according to policy, accounting standards and statutory requirements, and within the stipulated timeframes.
• Fund Financial Reporting Produce monthly Fund management accounts by extracting relevant reports from the system and preparing the reports in compliance with the Accounting Standards.
• Prepare the audit files and facilitate the external audit process by collecting the required information, compiling into defined reports, submitting to auditors and answering and resolving questions during audit process per agreed plan.
• Budgeting Prepare the Fund client budget templates and guidelines by aligning with the accounting guidelines by deadline
• Assist with auding and annual financial statements
• Statutory & Regulatory Complete and submit all tax returns for all the annuity fund clients per SARS regulations and in a timely
