Job summary

The Fund Accountant role at Apex Group Ltd (UK Branch) in Cape Town involves the preparation of accurate portfolio valuations on a timely basis. The role holder is responsible for the accounting of multiple portfolios, maintaining underlying accounting records, and assisting in the production of financial statements.

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and structured approach to work.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Degree or diploma in Commerce (including Financial Accounting II or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of hedge funds is advantageous.

• Assist external auditors and support the audit process.
• Support senior team members with audit queries.
• Conduct periodic reviews and identify errors or inconsistencies.
