Role Overview:

The Functional Developer collaborates with project managers, Business Analysts, Team Leads, Developers, and QA specialists. The role involves translating business requirements into system configurations within the Policy Administration System (PAS) like OIPA, developing analytical skills, gaining insurance industry expertise, and becoming proficient in system design and solution configuration.

Your Day at Equisoft:

• Configure and manage releases for Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA)
• Enhance industry and technical knowledge
• Collaborate with teams to meet business system configurations
• Engage in self-directed learning in configuration syntax and insurance knowledge
• Analyze and resolve system issues to ensure data and process integrity
• Interact with clients at various levels

Requirements:

• Technical Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Studies, or equivalent experience
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Familiarity with XML, SQL, relational databases, and MS Office
• Understanding of system design and development processes
• Excellent English communication skills
• Proactive, independent work ethic, and eagerness to learn

Nice to Haves:

• 1-3 years' experience with OIPA or similar platforms
