Investec Sandton is seeking a Senior Fullstack developer to join the Private Bank Tech – Transactional Banking team. You will be responsible for the full application life cycle, from evaluating business requirements to deployment, including design, coding, testing, maintenance and support. Payment/VISA experience is preferred and Azure cloud skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficient in C#, Typescript and .NET.
• Experience with HTML, CSS and Angular for responsive UI.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure and DevOps pipelines.
• Strong API design, RESTful services and data integrations.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Own full application lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Design, implement and test backend and frontend features.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate external services.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure on Azure.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and technical support to applications.

Investec Sandton is looking for a Senior Fullstack developer in the Private Bank Tech – Transactional Banking team who will be part of the full application life cycle including, but not limited to, the evaluation of business requirements, system analysis and design, writing of technical specifications and diagrams, programming, unit testing, maintenance, and technical support of our applications. Payment/VISA experience is preferred.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• 5+ years of working experience in software development
• Proficient in Programming Languages: C#, Typescript
• Front-end Development: Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks – Angular - to build responsive and user-friendly web interfaces.
• Back-end Development: Proficiency in server-side programming using .NET with exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
• Databases and Query Languages: Experience working with relational and non-relational databases and understanding of SQL query languages.
• API Development and Integration: Ability to design, build, secure, and consume RESTful APIs, as well as integrate with external APIs and services to exchange data between systems.
• Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git and understanding of branching, merging, and resolving conflicts to collaborate effectively with other developers.
• Testing and Debugging: Ability to write unit tests, perform integration testing, and debug applications to ensure code quality, identify and fix issues, and improve overall reliability pre- and post-deployment.
• DevOps: Experience in working within an environment that employs continuous integration and delivery pipelines. The role requires the candidate to create and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Cloud Development: Experience with Azure which includes provisioning infrastructure via Bicep. Additional exposure to Azure service such as Container Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus, Event Hub/Grid.
• Performance Optimisation: Experience in optimising application performance, including minimising load times, optimising database queries, and implementing caching mechanisms.
• Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, debug, and resolve issues in both front-end and back-end components of applications
• Collaboration and Communication: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Continuous Learning and Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies, keep up with industry trends, and adapt to evolving development practices and tools
• Proficiency in using AI-enabled productivity tools, such as Copilot, to improve efficiency, generate insight and support decision-making. Applies critical thinking and sound judgement when interpreting outputs, remains accountable for the quality and accuracy of their work
