Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a busy family in Kimberley, Northern Cape, to find a full-time Nanny/Housekeeper to care for two children aged 4 and 7 and manage light household duties. The role requires warmth, reliability, and a proactive approach to daily routines.

You will supervise childcare, prepare meals, assist with dressing and bedtime, handle laundry and cleaning, and help with homework. A valid driver’s license and First Aid certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a nanny and/or housekeeper, preferably in a combined role.
• Ability to care for young children effectively and maintain a safe environment.
• Strong housekeeping and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive childcare, supervision, engaging activities, and ensure safety.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
• Assist with daily routines: dressing, hygiene, and bedtime.
• Light housekeeping: tidying, laundry, basic cleaning.
• Organize activities, playtime, and educational support (homework).
• Transport children to school, activities or appointments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized home.
• Communicate with parents regarding children’s well-being and household matters.
