About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Full-Time Nanny & Household Manager to provide exceptional care for their children and oversee the smooth running of their household in Pretoria, Gauteng. This is a demanding yet rewarding position that requires a proactive individual capable of juggling childcare responsibilities with light household management duties. The ideal candidate will be passionate about child development, possess excellent organizational skills, and maintain a calm and efficient demeanor. The family is looking for someone who can become an integral part of their household, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for their children. This role is based in a private residence in Pretoria and requires a commitment to providing consistent, high-quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full-day childcare for children, including supervision, feeding, bathing, and engaging in age-appropriate activities.
• Plan and execute daily schedules, including educational play, outings, and nap times.
• Assist with children's homework and academic support.
• Prepare healthy and balanced meals and snacks for the children.
• Light household management tasks, including tidying children's rooms, laundry for the children, and maintaining general cleanliness of common family areas.
• Ensure the safety and security of the children at all times, both inside and outside the home.
• Coordinate children's extracurricular activities and appointments.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children's well-being, daily activities, and any concerns.
• Act as a positive role model, instilling good manners, responsibility, and a positive attitude.
• Manage children's wardrobes and ensure they are appropriately dressed for activities and weather.
• Assist with nursery duties and maintaining inventory of children's supplies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as a Nanny, Childminder, or similar role, preferably with experience managing household tasks.
• Strong understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate care practices.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in preparing healthy meals for children.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record; access to a personal vehicle is preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, reliable, responsible, and with a genuine love for children.
• Ability to work independently and proactively manage household tasks.
