Job summary

Network Recruitment in Gauteng seeks an experienced Full Stack .NET Desktop Developer to design and maintain both desktop and web applications. You will work with WinForms, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET Core WebAPI, and EF across SQL Server, WCF, and Windows Services, ensuring scalable, high-performance software.

Office-based with flexibility; collaborate with cross-functional teams and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong proficiency in C#, VB.NET, and .NET Framework 4.8.
Experience with WinForms and ASP.NET Core.
Proficiency in ASP.NET Core 3.1+ and ASP.NET Core WebAPI.
Experience with EF6 and EF Core.
Proficiency in ADO.NET.
Experience with WCF.
Strong SQL Server expertise with complex queries.
Experience with Windows Services.
Familiarity with Git and TFS.
Experience with RabbitMQ.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain desktop applications using WinForms.
Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core WebAPI.
Implement and manage WCF services for communication between applications.
Integrate APIs with Microsoft SQL Server for efficient data retrieval and storage.
Utilize Entity Framework 6 and Entity Framework Core for data access.
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code in C# and VB.NET.
Develop and manage Windows Services for background processes.
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.
