Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a versatile Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the expanding development team. You will work across the complete technology stack, from UI to servers and databases, in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

The role involves designing, coding, testing, and deploying innovative web applications with a mix of frontend and backend responsibilities. Hybrid work is available within our Bloemfontein office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern JavaScript framework (Angular, React, Vue.js).
• Experience with backend languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, or C#.
• Strong understanding of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.
• RESTful API design and implementation knowledge.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust web applications across frontend and backend.
• Design user-friendly interfaces with modern frontend technologies.
• Build and manage scalable server-side applications and APIs.
• Work with databases to store, retrieve, and manage data.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to deliver features.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects and issues.
