Job summary

Dotcom Cybersecurity is looking for a Skilled Full Stack Developer to join a delivery squad of up to six developers. You will work with .NET 8 backend, Angular 18 frontend, SQL Server, RabbitMQ, and Azure DevOps; you will code daily, lead the squad, review teammates' work, and fit into the squad that matches your strengths.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using C#, .NET 8, Angular and SQL Server.
• Design, develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
• Apply layered architecture, CQRS/mediator patterns and Entity Framework Core.
• Write, optimise and maintain SQL Server queries and database solutions.
• Develop unit tests and ensure code quality through peer reviews.
• Work with Git, Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Integrate message-based services using RabbitMQ.
• Troubleshoot, resolve and improve application performance and reliability.
• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and propose technical solutions.
• Lead and support a small development squad, including code reviews, mentoring, estimation and sprint planning.
• Contribute to integration with legacy systems and third-party services, particularly within the commercial insurance environment.

Permament - hybrid role (Midrand and Centurion). 3 days minimum in office per week

Role Overview:

• Will work in a delivery squad of up to 6 developers, commercial insurance platform.
• .NET 8 backend, Angular 18 front-end, SQL Server, RabbitMQ, Azure DevOps
• Hands-on. Codes daily, leads the squad, reviews the team's work

Key Outputs:

Skills Must Have:

• 5+ years hands-on C# development.

• Layered architecture — understands separating domain, application and infrastructure code.
• CQRS or a mediator pattern — command and query handlers.
• Entity Framework Core — migrations, queries, performance basics.
• SQL Server — writes and tunes their own queries, understands indexing.
• REST API design and consumption.
• Unit testing — xUnit, NUnit.
• Git — branching, pull requests, merge conflict resolution.
• Reads and reviews other people's code confidently.

Skills Preffered:

• Message-based integration — MassTransit, RabbitMQ, Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
• Redis or any distributed caching.
• Angular (any recent version) or another modern SPA framework.
• TypeScript.
• Insurance domain exposure — products, covers, premiums, underwriting.
• BPMN & Rating engines or rules engines (Drools, jBPM or similar).
• Reference/master data management across multiple services.
• Third-party API integration — credit bureau, address/geo, or similar data providers.
• Docker, Kubernetes or Helm.
• Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Structured logging and monitoring — Serilog, Elasticsearch, OpenTelemetry.
• Legacy system integration experience (mainframe, AS/400 or similar).
• Keycloak, OIDC or OAuth2.
