Design and develop ETL processes, data integration, data warehousing, performance tuning, data modelling, and business intelligence reporting modules to deliver high-quality Business Intelligence solutions.

Requirements

• Appropriate 3/4 year IT qualification
• Relevant Microsoft certification within the Data Space
• Exposure to the full BI development life cycle
• At least 4 – 6 year experience in the BI / Data Engineering Data / Analytics Field
• Experience managing Data Projects
• Data Engineering Experience in Azure preferred
• Azure Data Factory/Synapse Pipelines experience essential
• The successful candidate should have experience with SSRS, SSIS and SSAS, SQL Server, Synapse Pipelines, Physical & Logical Database architecture knowledge.
• Power BI required
• Proficiency in SQL
• Experience with Big Data and Data Science beneficial
• Understanding of insurance / accounting principles will be highly beneficial
• Knowledge of Data Transformation Services, File Transfer Protocol
• Good understanding of Data Warehouse architectures and supporting areas (Data Transformation, Modelling and Reporting)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in the analysis, design, development, troubleshooting, and support of the enterprise reporting and analytics platform.
• Design, construct, test, and implement reporting, visualization, and dashboard processes that present summary-level reporting with functionality to drill down into details.
• Develop BI solutions using SQL, ETL scripting with ADF/Synapse Pipelines, business intelligence tools, database programming, and reporting tools on the Microsoft BI Stack.
• Integrate with diverse source systems, including in-house, vendor-based, on-premises, cloud-based, and Office 365 systems.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team and participate in testing all database-related changes and application updates.
• Handle day-to-day database development/administrative tasks, including the development of queries, views, and other database schema objects.
• Maintain data model schema, hierarchy within the data warehouse, and reporting systems.
• Apply database tuning techniques to improve the performance of current solutions.
• Ensure business continuity documentation through Azure DevOps.
• Enforce database security standards and ensure adherence by team members.
• Review code implementations by the Data team.
• Oversee the quality of BI solutions developed by team members.
• Mentor junior and intermediate team members.
• Drive the implementation of innovative and latest technology solutions related to the data space through collaboration with the Lead Developer and Enterprise Architecture team.
• Utilize junior members in achieving large-scale project developments and implementations in consultation with the lead developer.
