Fruit Accountant Manager

Fruit Accountant – Stellenbosch, Zeminwe Recruitment

Our client, a Fruit Exporter based in Stellenbosch area, is on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced Fruit Accountant to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Management:
   Maintain directory of service provider agreements and rate schedules.
   Draft customer cost estimates/quotes.
   Update cost estimates.
   Draft and maintain pricing guidelines for key services as discussed/agreed with Cost Account Manager.
   Provide guidance to Creditors.
2. Financial Control:
   Prepare and capture costing for customer invoices.
   Check estimated cost vs actual cost to establish margins/losses.
3. Systems:
   Development & Testing of ERP system cost management module.
   Knowledge & understanding of systems, operations, pricing strategy, and any other requirements to perform job duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric with BCom Finance or relevant degree
• Strong understanding of cost allocations in Supply Chain
• Ability to analyze financial data
• Generate Reports
• Provide insight into cost performance and profitability
• 2-5 years of accounting experience within the fruit export industry
• Proficiency in financial and data systems on the accounting side
• Deep understanding of cost accounting and standard cost principles
• Understanding of supply chain, procurement, production, logistics, and distribution in the fruit sector
• Precision in calculating and tracking costs
• Accuracy in reporting and budgeting
• Reliable own transport
