SUMMARY :

Bellville Area – Western Cape: Our client is seeking a Fruit Accountant Assistant to join their team.

POSITION DETAILS: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Tertiary qualification with 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Strong Excel skills and computer literacy
  • Familiarity with accounting and export systems
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Advantageous: knowledge of consignment accounting, cost chains, and Incoterms

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of various producer reports
  • Reconcile and maintain cost invoices for producer payments
  • Review accuracy of financial data used in liquidations
  • Maintain grower reconciliation and interest calculation files
  • Communicate with producers and packhouses
  • Update packhouse charges schedule & reconcile with producer packout reports, BC, and shipments (on variety level)
  • Review and approve packhouse invoices
  • Create and update grower interest schedules (advances, loans, charges)
  • Prepare, file, and email producer season reports
  • Assist with the annual audit by compiling necessary information for auditors
  • Capture SLP intercompany recovery invoices on Trust BC
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required
