Our client in the Hospitality industry is currently looking for a Front Office Director, in Cape Town, Western Cape.
POSITION INFO : Responsibilities :
- Reporting to board of directors and managing director.
- Operational Management :
- Oversee daily operations of the front office, including reception, concierge, guest services, and reservations.
- Ensure high standards of service quality and guest satisfaction.
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all front office functions.
- Strategic Planning :
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance front office operations and guest experiences.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align front office strategies with overall hotel goals.
- Identify industry trends and incorporate them into strategic planning.
- Prepare and manage the front office department budget, including forecasting and financial analysis.
- Monitor financial performance, implement cost control measures, and optimize revenue generation.
- Analyse financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the front office team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the front office team and with other departments.
- Guest Experience :
- Maintain a strong presence in the front office, engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
- Address guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Technology and Systems Management :
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of front office systems and technology.
- Ensure efficient use of property management systems (PMS) and other relevant software.
- Stay updated with technological advancements and recommend upgrades as needed.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment.
- Proven track record of successful front office management, including operational, strategic, and financial aspects.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- In-depth knowledge of front office operations, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
