Front of House Manager Luxury Boutique Hotel Cape Town

Live Out Position Salary: R22000 DOE

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Front of House Manager for a distinguished luxury boutique hotel in Cape Town. This is a fantastic opportunity for a service-driven individual with a strong hospitality background to lead the front-facing operations of a prestigious property.

Key Focus Areas:

  1. Oversee and manage all Front of House operations including Reception, Guest Relations, Retail, and Spa
  2. Collaborate with the General Manager and Hotel Manager to ensure seamless property operations
  3. Represent the brand with professionalism, fostering goodwill and maintaining high service standards
  4. Act as a brand ambassador by hosting site inspections, media visits, and engaging with key stakeholders
  5. Uphold and maintain the property's service standards in line with brand expectations
  6. Ensure departmental structures are efficient and aligned with current hospitality trends
  7. Conduct effective departmental meetings with follow-ups and actionable outcomes
  8. Assist in securing favorable procurement agreements to benefit the property and broader group
  9. Innovate guest experiences by staying current with hospitality trends and competitor offerings
  10. Handle guest queries and complaints professionally, using feedback as a tool for growth and improvement

Development & Staff Management:

  1. Implement training programs using both internal and external trainers
  2. Provide strong leadership through active management and employee development
  3. Oversee performance management and succession planning processes
  4. Conduct regular performance appraisals and ensure the implementation of developmental plans

Community Engagement:

  1. Support and establish community partnerships to maintain a positive public image of the property

Requirements, Qualifications, and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in senior Front of House hospitality management
  • Hospitality Management qualification required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven record of achieving performance targets
  • Strong knowledge of international hospitality trends and market offerings
  • Understanding of supply chain and product sourcing
  • Valid Code 08 driver’s license and reliable personal transport
