Job description

Lodge in Klaserie is looking for a Front of House / Field Guide couple.

Front of House (FOH) Duties:

• General administration, accounts, and stock control.
• Quality control of food, food presentation, and service.
• Motivating and leading staff.
• Attention to detail in lodge rooms, service, and food.

Requirements:

• Grade 12.
• Minimum of 2-4 years experience in Front of House at a 4 or 5-star lodge.
• Excellent sales and customer care skills.
• Knowledge of stock control in bar, food, and curios departments.
• Good organizational skills.
• Knowledge of reservations management systems is an advantage.
• Well-spoken and well-presented.
• Resilient and flexible.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Experience in managing guest delight events.

Field Guide / Trails Guide Duties:

• Assist in managing junior guides.
• Ensure guiding experience is of top standard.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to maintenance when not guiding.
• Maintain guiding equipment and ensure safety during activities.
• Conduct guiding, walking, and activity hosting.

Requirements:

• Grade 12.
• Full trails guiding qualification preferred, or close to completion.
