Job summary

ATS Client in Pretoria is seeking a Mid-Level Frontend Developer to help shape the digital experience for thousands of learners across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. You will design and implement intuitive interfaces, collaborate with design teams, and mentor junior developers.

You will bring 4–6 years of frontend experience, strong React/Next.js skills, and a passion for accessible, high-quality web apps.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of frontend web development experience.
• Bachelor of Information Science or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript frontend frameworks, preferably React JS, Redux, Context API.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous requests.
• Familiarity with Webpack, Babel, ESLint, and Git.
• UI/UX sensibility and collaboration with design teams.
• Deep understanding of HTML5/CSS3/SCSS and responsive design.
• Experience with React.js components, hooks, and context.
• Experience with Next.js SSR/SSG and API routes.
• Experience with styling frameworks such as Tailwind CSS or Material UI; CSS-in-JS libraries.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, responsive frontend components using modern frameworks.
• Oversee and guide the work of junior frontend developers.
• Participate in code reviews and foster a collaborative development environment.
• Define and enforce frontend development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs for end-to-end functionality.
• Uphold the company's visual identity and user-centric design.
