Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality is seeking a polished, guest-focused French-speaking bartender for a luxury safari lodge in KwaZulu-Natal. You will deliver five-star service in a remote bush setting, from sundowner cocktails to boma dinners and private functions.

The ideal candidate is fluent in French with strong English, has luxury hospitality experience, excellent product knowledge, and a commitment to HACCP and responsible service. Shift work, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in French and English with strong communication skills.
• Experience as a bartender in luxury lodges/hotels or high-end hospitality.
• Solid product knowledge: cocktails, wines, spirits, beers and non-alcoholic options.
• Understanding of HACCP, hygiene standards and stock control.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and SA liquor regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, personalised bar service in French and English to all guests.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers and spirits to five-star standards.
• Anticipate guest preferences and craft tailored experiences.
• Maintain quality, presentation and portion control.
• Keep bar stocked, clean and mise en place ready at all times.
• Support beverage service during meals, bush events and private functions.
• Assist with stock counts, requisitions and rotation.
• Report low stock levels and equipment issues promptly.
• Uphold HACCP and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service according to lodge policy.
• Collaborate with waiters, supervisors and kitchen staff; share guest preferences daily.
