Job summary

DSV is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder for Air Export, Sky Services in Cape Town. You will handle client communications, airline reservations, and complete export/import documentation to required standards.

Minimum 2 years as an export controller in air freight exports perishable goods, with intermediate CargoWise1 knowledge and strong industry understanding.

Qualifications

• Processing/export documentation: AWB, SAD500s, Phytosanitary certificate, PPECB, COO’s, etc.
• Airline bookings and rate negotiations per agreements.
• Liaising with clients via email/phone and maintaining bookings lists.

Responsibilities

• Process/issue export documentation for air freight.
• Make airline bookings per rate agreements and coordinate with airlines.
• Liaise with clients via email/phone and update shipment status.
• Maintain daily shipment and warehouse planning, and tracking.
• Coordinate with warehousing for deliveries/collections.
• Provide timely updates to clients and internal teams.

Main Purpose of The Role:

Communication with clients, airlines and all relevant departments. Airline reservations -bookings and rate negotiations. Completion of all export/import documents as prescribed by relevant local and international authorities.

Minimum of 2 years experience as export controller in air freight exports perishables

Intermediate CargoWise1 knowledge / experience

Excellent understanding of industry and related job requirements for freight forwarding.

Experience in working with airlines directly i.t.o. bookings and rates

Geographical knowledge and familiar with airline routes and capabilities
