Job Description: Export Controller - Perishable Airfreight

We are seeking an experienced Export Controller specialized in Perishable Airfreight to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for communication with clients, airlines, and relevant departments, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communication with clients, airlines, and all relevant departments.
• Airline reservations, bookings, and rate negotiations.
• Completion of all export/import documents as prescribed by local and international authorities.
• Processing and issuing export documentation such as AWB, SAD, Phytosanitary certificates, PPECB, COO’s, etc.
• Maintaining bookings lists and daily shipment tracking.
• Updating clients on shipment statuses.
• Daily planning for shipments and warehouse activities.
• Liaising with warehouse regarding deliveries and collections.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience as an export controller in Perishable Airfreight exports and/or imports.
• Excellent understanding of the freight forwarding industry and related job requirements.
• Knowledge of airline routes and capabilities.
• Proficiency in computer packages including Excel, Word, Windows, Office, and Outlook.
• Competent in CargoWise1 and ShipShape systems.
