Though our peak hours are in the afternoon, lessons are scheduled 24/7, plus days a year.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct 40- to 45-minute conversation-based group and private online lessons with adult learners.
2. Provide after-class reports to all students, detailing their progress and ongoing recommendations for improvement.
3. Keep up to date with all platform and classroom enhancements.
4. Manage own teaching schedule.

Requirements

1. South African Residency: You must live in South Africa and be in possession of a South African identity document.
2. C2 level English speaker with a neutral accent.
3. Completed Bachelor's degree (Compulsory).
4. 120-hour TEFL teaching certificate (Compulsory).
5. Highly computer literate.
6. Professional, energetic, and excited about people.
7. Previous teaching experience is a plus, but not required.
8. Other work experience counts.

Must Have

1. CPU: Intel Processor: i5 or higher (10th generation or higher) or AMD Ryzen 5 CPU or higher or Mac (M chip) M1 or higher or Mac (Intel): i5 or higher (10th generation or higher).
2. Memory: 8 GB or higher.
3. HD: 30GB free capacity, SSD HD.
4. Screen resolution: 1920x1080 or higher.
5. Network: Uncapped internet with download and upload speeds of 20 Mbps (minimum).
6. Peripherals: Webcam (Logitech C recommended), ring light.
7. Must have at home infrastructure: Backup power source, i.e., UPS or Generator in case of power outages or load shedding which charges both the laptop and your router for a minimum of 4 hours.
8. Surge protector plug (minimum required V - 50Hz).

Compensation

Payment is based on hourly rates: from R60.00 up to R87.00 per hour, based on performance. All completed hours must be invoiced, and payment excludes any Tax deductions.
