Job description

Ecosure - a division of Ecolab and an industry leader in food safety and brand protection, is rapidly expanding globally. We are looking for a freelance Food Safety & Brand Standard Auditor, based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Our specialists are unique safety experts on whom our clients in the food service and hospitality industry rely. We are seeking professionals to provide customized, comprehensive on-site evaluations and training to help our clients maintain the highest standards in food safety, cleanliness, guest experience, and brand protection. These programs assist our clients in meeting their expected quality standards through on-site evaluations and tailored training programs.

What you will do :

  1. Conduct food safety, brand standards, and workplace health and safety evaluations at client locations.
  2. Consult, coach, and train clients on the latest food safety, health, and hygiene practices.
  3. Collaborate with account management teams to resolve client challenges.
  4. Perform a set number of audits weekly to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  5. Access and utilize industry-leading food safety practices and actively monitor health inspection information.
  6. Provide accurate reports and maintain effective communication and relationships with customers.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills :

  • Food safety certifications such as HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC, or NEHA credentials (RS, REHS, or CP-FS) are highly valued.
  • Experience in retail food safety and conducting brand standards reviews.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Proven teaching or coaching experience in a food-related field.
  • Excellent relationship management and advanced consulting skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative, sound judgment, and excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of performing well under pressure, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and meeting tight deadlines efficiently.

This position will partner with Ecolab on an independent consulting basis.
