What you'll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conduct imperative risk reviews of multiple high-risk factors the company faces, including transactional activity, customer behaviour, possible financial impact, trends, historic data, and metrics.
  2. Liaise with external financial institutes and provide services to both internal and external parties of the company.
  3. Oversee reviews deemed high risk.
  4. Provide guidance and support to the team to improve service delivery with monthly analysis of KPIs.
  5. Motivate and drive company policy and culture to perform.
  6. Promote and practice transformational leadership.
  7. Contribute to mitigating potential financial risk to the company.
  8. Manage talent and performance within the team.
  9. Oversee the daily operations of the Fraud Prevention team by performing trend analysis of shifts and handovers.
  10. Build good working relationships and maintain high levels of communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Be the first point of contact for the team and other departments for any operational queries and issues.
  12. Monitor the activity of incoming and outgoing payments, fraud trends, and act according to standard operating procedures.
  13. Ensure all processes are reviewed and up-to-date per compliance requirements.
  14. Conduct quality reviews, track performance of analysts, and identify areas for training.
  15. Hold regular team meetings to share updates, gather feedback, and discuss process improvements.
  16. Assist Fraud Prevention Manager in recruitment and onboarding of Fraud Prevention SMEs.
  17. Assist with scheduling, leave requests, sickness reporting, and other operational duties.
  18. Take ownership of any issues occurring during shifts and manage them effectively.
  19. Escalate suspicious cases of Money Laundering to the MLRO and customer gameplay deviations to the Responsible Gambling Team.
  20. Adhere to corporate-wide and team-specific policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  21. Research and promote fraud prevention, risk, and compliance best practices.
  22. Schedule, participate, present, and record keep in Fraud Prevention committee meetings.
  23. Monitor and ensure system operational efficiency by creating workflows to remove administrative duplication.

Essential skills you'll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  1. Minimum 4 years' experience in fraud prevention or a similar position.
  2. Minimum 3 years experience in managing a fraud prevention or similar team.
  3. Degree or Diploma.
  4. Knowledge of online payment systems, regulations, understanding of KYC and financial crime.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  6. Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  7. Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Exceptional attention to detail.
  9. Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities.

Desirable skills you've got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:

  1. In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation and market trends.
  2. Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry.
  3. Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements.
  4. Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Ability to use pivot tables and work with advanced statistical databases.
