A franchise consultant is the main contact point in an assigned market for supporting the franchise system of business of various organizations and brands. The ideal franchise consultant cultivates a team and works towards identifying a profitable franchise out of the many that apply. They help improve struggling stores (ICU & New stores), guide store checks, analyze finances, and support daily operations to make the store profitable and stable.

Store and franchise compliance
- Ensure key processes and plans are in place through weekly store visits, evaluations, and data analysis.
- Adhere to the Site Visit Schedule. The respective FSC will visit each site on a 6-week cycle. A site visit report will be completed upon every visit.
- Ensure franchisees comply with brand standards.
- Roll out POS systems and maintain them.
- Regularly visit franchisees and ensure adherence to operational manual.
- Increase revenue in ICU stores.
Reporting
- Provide advice to increase store profitability and performance.
- Perform compliance audits to identify growth opportunities and improvements.
- Analyze product movement and suggest sales strategies.
- Log issues with external IT service providers.
- Document and report critical incidents and franchise issues.
- Report key data such as market trends, basket values, projected sales, and staff performance to the operations manager.
Training and development
- Prepare activities to improve store profitability through training and networking.
- Educate and train franchisees to ensure consistency and standard procedures.
- Provide on-site training as needed.
- Manage stock, follow up on back orders, evaluate top categories, and monitor stock levels.
Client relationship management
- Ensure competitiveness and build brand awareness.
- Support organizational initiatives for franchisee accountability and network consistency.
- Assist in resolving issues and maintaining IT equipment.
- Assist with management accounts, recruitment, and succession planning.
Effective teamwork and self-management
- Manage priorities to achieve all deliverables.
- Follow lawful instructions from management.
- Support team members and exemplify company values.
- Maintain clarity in judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Financial oversight
- Check store finances for issues like cash flow, profits, or costs.
- Work with store managers to develop and implement financial recovery plans.
- Monitor financial performance, advise on budgeting, cost-saving, and revenue increase strategies.
- Collaborate with finance teams and store staff, and report progress regularly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a field or service consultant.
- Experience in customer service.
- Knowledge of business processes and functions.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
- Degree in business management or operations.
