Job description

Your Role : An exciting opportunity has opened with our company.

We are looking to hire a Franchise Head CM&E in South Africa.

In this role, your goal will be to define the 'Acceleration Plan' for the Cardio Metabolic & Endocrinology (CM&E) business in South Africa and to build a refreshed Growth Roadmap including key products and launches.

As a Franchise Head CM&E, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of broad market opportunities.
  • Identify and encourage the use of strategy and services that give the organization a competitive edge and have the highest impact to reach broad groups of patients.
  • Determine the strategic direction of the CM&E business for the region in alignment with the Leadership team.
  • Oversee the annual CM&E marketing plans and Sales Plans for the country in line with global plans that drive sales achievement.
  • Play a key role in bringing all functions together to set the strategy and operational plan.
  • Responsible for recruiting, developing, and motivating your team to optimize performance and drive regional business achievement.
  • Ensure strict compliance with internal and external marketing practices governed by regulations and internal guidelines, while managing the risk associated with customer credit profiles and maintaining favorable long-term customer relationships.
  • Provide leadership to the Sales and Marketing teams, resulting in a highly engaged, inspired, and results-driven organization and high-impact culture.

Who you are : Qualification in Sales and Marketing or Sciences, preferably a postgraduate degree / MBA. Seasoned professional in a senior management role within the pharmaceutical industry. Extensive experience in developing and growing high-performing teams and with business turnarounds demonstrating clear results. Strong strategic cross-functional leadership experience. Strong experience in commercial operations, knowledge of customer and regional markets, brand knowledge, strong financial and business skills, plus knowledge of legal and industry requirements. In-depth experience of the South African market.
