takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Franchise Compliance Controller to join our Kwa-Zulu Natal Team. Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Monitor and report on franchise and driver performance and operational compliance in the field.
  2. Gain understanding of operational levers affecting performance regionally and at the branch level.
  3. Train and inform SOPs at franchise levels (Managers, Drivers), and identify non-compliance issues for escalation.
  4. Assist in improving SOPs across the delivery network.
  5. Maintain service levels according to SLAs and implement corrective measures within service hubs.
  6. Monitor branch adherence to franchise agreements and KPIs.
  7. Manage and improve weekly KPI performance at franchise level.
  8. Conduct regular audits to assess performance and compliance.
  9. Travel locally within the region and to regional branches as required.
  10. Address key metrics related to driver growth, performance management, complaints, and customer satisfaction, providing weekly reports.

  • Experience managing outlets, hubs, or restaurants is advantageous.
  • Experience in hospitality/retail franchise is advantageous.
  • Training experience and IT savvy are advantageous.
  • Field-based work experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Ability to analyze eCommerce metrics for improvement opportunities.
