Job description

At Reflex Solutions, we fulfill an IT Management role for our clients, requiring experience in IT management, a good knowledge of Enterprise IT architecture, and Solution Selling techniques.

The Fractional IT Manager / CIO will act as a trusted advisor to Enterprise customers and position Reflex as the partner of choice.

The Reflex Solutions Fractional CIO must understand business requirements and align them with IT strategies. The FCIO oversees functions such as ICT Strategy, Risk Management, Budget Management, and Account Management, and is responsible for compiling client ICT strategies, risk registers, budgets, and compliance documents with client input.

The FCIO is the primary contact within Reflex for all C-Level staff in the client's environment and works with a dedicated Service Delivery Manager per client. These two roles function as a unit, with the FCIO focusing on strategy, risk mitigation, major proposals, and projects, while the Service Delivery Manager handles daily operations like hardware sales, service escalations, and incident management.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing reliable technical services to ensure client satisfaction.
  2. Understanding the client's ICT environment to maintain high service levels.
  3. Managing client engagement and maintaining healthy relationships through regular strategy and risk meetings, reporting, and trust-building activities.
  4. Facilitating proposals, quotes, and approvals to address risks and strategy changes.
  5. Ensuring projects meet high standards and installations align with client expectations.
  6. Documenting and communicating the client environment and compliance processes internally and externally.
  7. Managing risks and strategies, mitigating high-priority issues, and communicating risks to stakeholders.
  8. Providing monthly reports on strategy, risk, and project issues, and advising clients on ICT risks and strategies.
  9. Ensuring signed MSAs and updated service schedules, with annual reviews and minimum two-year terms.
  10. Achieving sales targets by converting risks into sales opportunities and expanding the client footprint.
  11. Collaborating with internal teams and managing pipelines, opportunities, and progress tracking.
  12. Driving strategy, risk mitigation, and operational matters, especially those beyond the Service Delivery Managers' scope.
  13. Maintaining healthy client relationships, responding to requests promptly, and escalating issues as needed.
  14. Continuously improving IT strategies, minimizing gaps and risks, and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
  15. Ensuring all documentation, such as MSAs, proposals, meeting minutes, and ICT strategies, are current and comprehensive.

Minimum requirements:

  • Matric certificate
  • Relevant ICT Diploma, MCSE, CCNA, or entry-level Cloud certification
  • At least five years of ICT and managerial experience
  • Budgeting and financial management skills
  • Proficiency in CRM, Remote Support, PRTG, Microsoft Windows, and Office
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Professional appearance and excellent organizational skills
  • Openness to learning and honesty about knowledge gaps
