Job summary

Zenzero is seeking an FP&A Analyst to keep financial and operational information accurate and timely. You will maintain and improve reports, models and data schedules while supporting monthly forecasts and planning cycles.

The Role

We are looking for an FP&A Analyst to help keep the financial and operational information behind our decisions accurate, timely and useful. You will maintain and improve established reports, models and data schedules, support the monthly reporting and forecast cycle, and help develop new reporting as the business grows. This is a hands-on role: checking source data, investigating differences and making sure reports can be relied on are a regular part of the job.

You will work closely with the Senior FP&A & Finance Manager and colleagues across the business. As you learn our systems and commercial drivers, you will contribute ideas to new reports and processes, build your analytical skills, and gradually take ownership of your own areas of performance analysis. We are looking for someone who enjoys getting the detail right and wants to understand the story behind the numbers.

What you will do

Keep reporting and data reliable

• Refresh and maintain existing management reports, dashboards, models and supporting data schedules to agreed monthly deadlines.
• Extract, clean, reconcile and check data from ConnectWise, finance systems and other sources; investigate discrepancies and work with colleagues to resolve them.
• Maintain recurring revenue and other key commercial schedules, including clear records of assumptions and changes.
• Document report definitions and recurring processes so outputs remain consistent and can be reviewed.

Support planning and insight

• Prepare data and reporting packs for monthly performance reviews, budgets and forecasts.
• Update forecast models, consolidate departmental inputs and check that information is complete and consistent.
• Support variance, revenue, margin and utilisation analysis, initially with guidance, and develop your own commentary and recommendations over time.
• Work with stakeholders to understand what their numbers mean and follow up questions raised by the reporting.

Improve and develop reporting

• Help design, build and test new reports and schedules, with a say in how information is presented and maintained.
• Spot repetitive work, data quality issues and gaps in reporting; suggest practical improvements and help put them in place.
• Take increasing ownership of specific reports and analysis as your knowledge and confidence grow.

What you will bring

• Good Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and pivot tables, and the confidence to work with sizeable datasets.
• A careful, methodical approach to checking data and tracing differences back to their source.
• Curiosity about business performance and a willingness to learn financial analysis, reporting tools and new systems.
• The ability to organise recurring deadlines, communicate clearly and ask questions when something does not look right.
• Some experience in finance, reporting, accounting or data analysis, or a strong foundation from study or relevant work.

Helpful but not essential

• Experience with Power Query, Power BI, ConnectWise or accounting systems such as Xero.
• An understanding of recurring revenue, services margins or utilisation in an IT services, MSP or SaaS business.

You do not need to arrive knowing every system or owning an entire FP&A cycle. We will support you in learning the business and building towards more independent analysis.
