Pronel Personnel is seeking an experienced Foundry Team Leader/Supervisor to drive production, maintain quality and safety standards, and reduce scrap in our Pietermaritzburg foundry. This hands‑on leadership role requires coordinating with maintenance, toolroom and quality teams to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years supervisory experience in a foundry, hands‑on die casting exposure, and a passion for Lean/CI improvements.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in a foundry.
• 2+ years in gravity & high‑pressure die casting machine setting and fault‑finding.
• Strong technical and process knowledge.
• Understanding of Lean / Continuous Improvement principles.
• Health, safety, quality and compliance knowledge.
• Hands‑on leadership with training ability.

Responsabilités

We’re looking for a hands‑on leader who can drive production, maintain quality and safety standards, reduce scrap and keep the operation running efficiently.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• 2+ years’ supervisory experience in a foundry advantageous
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Gravity & High Pressure Die Casting machine setting and basic fault-finding
• Strong technical and process knowledge
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
• Strong communication and people-management skills
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, quality and compliance standards
• Understanding of Lean / Continuous Improvement principles
• A hands‑on approach and willingness to train and develop your team
