Foundation Phase Teacher

Requirements for this position are:

• A willingness to embrace and contribute to the ethos, values and Mission of the College
• Registration with SACE
• Clearance certificate with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register
• A recognised degree and/or a 4 year professional teaching qualification and formal training in the Foundation Phase
• A minimum of 5 years teaching experience as a class teacher in the FP
• Have an enthusiastic, energetic and creative approach to teaching
• Have the ability to develop and sustain new and progressive teaching ideas and work cooperatively within a team environment
• Be open to embrace new methodologies and integrate IT into your teaching methods with a commitment to life-long learning
• The incumbent must be flexible, dynamic and open to learning
• Strong administration, technological and communication skills are required
• Ability to meet and work effectively with all stakeholders, parents and professionals in the school context to develop the holistic wellbeing of the child
• Exceptional ethical and professional conduct
• An excellent command of the English language
• A willingness to lead and participate in the extra-curricular activities of the College
