Job description

Oakhill School, a co-educational day school situated in the beautiful town of Knysna, on the Garden Route, is seeking a strategic, results-driven, adaptable, persistent, innovative, enthusiastic, and hardworking individual to fulfill the newly-created role of Foundation Manager.

The Oakhill Foundation Trust, established in 2018, is a registered Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) that aims to make a significant difference in the lives of bursary students and contribute to the Knysna community. The Foundation Office's primary role is to support the objectives of the Trust by fostering a community of belonging at Oakhill and creating a virtuous circle of acknowledgment and giving.

Foundation Manager

(1 Year Full-Time Contract)

The Foundation Manager reports to the Executive Head of the School and the Oakhill Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing Fundraising Strategy and Targets
  • Managing Donor Relations
  • Overseeing Bursary Student Management
  • Procurement of Sponsorships
  • Engaging with Alumni
  • Applying strong analytical decision-making, problem-solving skills, and financial literacy
  • Building strong interpersonal and relationship skills, inspiring others
  • Collaborating effectively with stakeholders and staff at all levels
  • Exercising good written and spoken communication skills
  • Demonstrating an outgoing personality capable of relating to different cultures
  • Having experience working in the PBO or education sectors
