Placements24 is seeking an innovative Formulation Scientist to contribute to pharmaceutical development efforts in Kimberley. You will design, develop, and optimize stable dosage forms for new and existing products, applying your expertise in drug delivery and product performance in state-of-the-art laboratories.

The role focuses on creating medicines, improving stability and bioavailability, and supporting regulatory submissions with robust technical reports.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Hands-on experience with various dosage form development and manufacturing techniques.
• Proficiency in analytical techniques used for characterizing drug products (e.g., dissolution, particle size analysis, microscopy).
• Strong understanding of drug delivery principles and pharmaceutical product development lifecycle.
• Excellent experimental design, data analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop dosage forms (tablets, capsules, injectables, topical) for pharmaceutical products.
• Conduct pre-formulation studies to understand drug substance properties.
• Optimize formulations for stability, bioavailability, and patient compliance.
