Job description

SUMMARY :

Our client, with a national footprint, is expanding their team and is seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to join their team in Secunda.

Minimum Requirements :

• Grade 12
• Driver’s license (EB)
• Trade Test Certificate
• Diesel Theory
• Basic Forklift Understanding
• Basic Electrical Experience

Responsibilities :

1. Perform corrective maintenance and repairs on the fleet as assigned.
2. Coordinate forklift movements within the workshop.
3. Remove recyclables from around and within the workshop.
4. Complete basic job cards according to policy.
5. Order parts from suppliers with proper documentation.
6. Receive and unload containers, verifying shipment accuracy.
7. Maintain a culture of safety, ethics, and customer service.
8. Conduct diagnostic troubleshooting on components and systems.
9. Participate in technical training as assigned.
10. Maintain parts and supplies for job completion.
11. Ensure forklift cleanliness and safe operation.
12. Fill out work orders accurately and maintain a clean work area.
13. Assist with forklift maintenance or repairs as needed.
14. Be on standby for company-provided car or phone when required.
15. Work overtime or standby as necessary.
