Job description

We are seeking the skills of a Forklift Technician to join our team in Isando.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :

• Working knowledge of forklifts, automotive or earthmoving equipment
• Must have own basic tools
• General hydraulics knowledge will be an advantage
• Breakdown experience
• Good communication skills(verbal and written)
• Servicing and general preventative maintenance on a fleet of forklifts
• Knowledge of basic electronics / electrical components
• Ability to read and understand wiring circuit diagrams
• Experienced in diagnosing and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Zapi and Curtis Electronic consoles would be an advantage
• Must be willing to work standby

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS :

• Attending to breakdowns afterhours and on standby
• Repairs and maintenance work on electrical, gas and diesel units
• Maintaining work standards and ensuring attention to detail
