Job summary

Kabstrading Co. is seeking a warehouse operator in Durban to safely operate forklifts and move goods within the warehouse. You will load and unload trucks, move materials to designated areas, and maximise storage space while adhering to safety and company procedures.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, securing loads, following traffic rules and housekeeping standards, and assisting with general warehouse tasks such as picking and packing as needed.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience or certification preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Basic stacking, pallet handling and storage knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles.
• Move materials, stock, pallets, and products to designated storage or production areas.
• Stack and store goods securely while maximising available warehouse space.
• Inspect the forklift and equipment before each shift and report defects or maintenance requirements.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and within the forklift's rated capacity.
• Follow warehouse traffic rules, safety procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Assist with stock movement, picking, packing, and general warehouse duties when required .
