Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our Richards Bay warehouse team in KwaZulu-Natal. You will operate counterbalance and reach trucks safely to move, stack, and count merchandise while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work area.

The ideal candidate has a valid forklift license, proven warehouse experience, excellent hand-eye coordination, physical stamina, and a reliable work ethic in a busy port environment.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator license or certification is required.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach trucks) to load, unload, move, and stack materials within the warehouse.
• Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any defects.
• Safely transport goods to and from designated storage areas, ensuring product integrity.
• Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving, put-away, and order picking.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Identify and report any safety hazards or operational issues to the supervisor immediately.
