Job summary

FreeRecruit is recruiting a Forklift Operator for a major grocery retailer in Johannesburg. The role requires reach truck and forklift experience, basic numeracy, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks daily.

FORKLIFT OPERATOR

A well-known grocery store is looking for experienced and professional Reach Truck Drivers to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate should be hardworking, punctual and be a team player.

Requirements:

• Matric
• Driver licence code: Forklift operator
• Experience: Driver
• English
• Valid license on a 2.5 Ton - 5.0 Ton Hyster (Battery & Diesel)
• 1 Year experience operating a forklift machine
• Must be experienced as a Reach Truck operator and be able to demonstrate proficiency in operating a Reach Truck
• Must have previous warehousing experience
• Be Punctual
• Team player
• Must be able to handle pressure
• Good verbal and non-verbal communicator
• Great sober and hygiene habits

Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading of trucks daily
• Moving of stock
• Maintain compliance to all health & safety standards
• Complete daily forklift checklist before operating the machines
• Pick and deliver the correct items and quantities of inventory for customer sales orders and deliver it to the shipping staging area in an accurate and timely manner
• Pick and deliver the correct items and quantities of inventory and deliver it to the designated production lines in an accurate and timely manner
• Transfer and locate receiving inventory into warehouse locations in an accurate and timely manner
• Prepare material movement documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Load and unload trucks as needed or assigned
• Perform other duties as required
