Responsibilities

Job Overview: Drives forklifts to transport products and equipment. Scan product movements to maintain accurate stock levels from the plant into the warehouse facility. The Forklift Driver transport picked finished goods from the warehouse to the transport vehicles. Transportation of finished goods between the manufacturing facility and the warehouse.

  • Moving finished goods from the plant into the warehouse
  • Scanning of finish goods from the plant manufacturing to the warehouse storage location as per EWM guidelines
  • Put away of stock into locations identified on EWM system via RF scanner
  • Accurate picking and stagging of stock using RF scanning
  • Loading of trucks
  • Transport stock to warehouse
  • Transport to overflow warehouse
  • Transport product waste to waste area for disposal
  • Ensure daily pre-op checks are completed
  • Report any damages to equipment to Line Manger on duty
  • Ensure forklifts are placed on charge when not in use
  • Adhere to company safety standards when operating a forklift
  • Ensure that you have a valid forklift license at all times
  • Complete near miss reports as part of the safety and awareness culture to minimize risks and alleviate the number of recordable incidents occurring in the warehouse
  • Adhere to warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements

Additional tasks:

  • Perform all other duties as may be directed/instructed by the Line Manager or Supervisor
