VACANCY: Fork Lift Driver (Back up)
Pie in the Sky is an artisanal industrial bakery that prides itself in superior quality of products and a high rate of order fulfilment to customers, for both ambient and frozen bakery products.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Adhere to Pie in the Sky Food Safety, Health, and Safety Policies.
• Carry out the Start–up Checklist and report any mechanical/ electrical/maintenance issues to the Team Leader/Supervisor before operating the forklift.
• Ensure that all boxed stock that is picked, has an initial/stamp, a label that matches the product description on the Invoices/Delivery notes/PO’s and that the label has a batch number and the correct best before date.
• Practice FIFO and report any stock close to expiry or expired stock to Team Leader/Supervisor
• Ensure all products in the freezer are merchandised and stacked correctly on pallets and that all stock is placed in the racking as per the Freezer Floor Plan.
• Ensure completed orders are wrapped and clearly identified and placed in the allocated area as per the Freezer Floor Plan.
• Ensure stock that is picked is accurately recorded on the daily Freezer Control Sheet
• Before loading trucks ensure that the Team Leader/Supervisor has checked the pallets and has opened three boxes to ensure the product contents/quantity/best before date and batch corresponds with the label and that these boxes are stamped “checked”
• Ensure Pallets and boxes are securely wrapped to avoid damages and causing safety hazards.
• Conduct Weekly/Daily Stock takes

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric is a requirement or any equivalent qualification
• Valid Forklift license
• Good communicator both verbally and written
