Job summary

PepsiCo in South Africa’s Western Cape seeks a forklift operator to support production by moving pallets, preparing drums for blending, and ensuring clean and safe forklift operation. Responsibilities include inspections, battery charging, stock counts, and moving stock between inbound, blending, and storage areas.

The role requires Matric or equivalent, a forklift licence, and at least 1 year of forklift driving experience, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and housekeeping in a busy production

Qualifications

• Matric or Equivalent Qualification is required.
• Forklift Licence is required.
• 1 Year Forklift Driver Experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forklift according to laid down specification.
• Change/charge forklift battery.
• Ensure neatness/cleanliness of forklift.
• Perform forklift inspections of forklift before use and report defects.
• Move non-conforming product from blending to quarantine area.
• Perform stock count in conjunction with supervisor.
• Move pallets from pallet area to blending to dedicated areas.
• Movement and Stack pallets containing pulp/concentrate drums that is needed for blending.
• Ensure empty/full and half drums are neatly stacked including pallets.
• Move stock from inbound into blending allocations, etc. including pallets.
• Assist with forklift activity movements of concentrate wood/steel bins in front of tank farm area.
• Moving stock from inbound into blending allocations, etc.
• Housekeeping
• AdHOC task

• Movement and Stack pallets containing pulp/concentrate drums that is needed for production
• Ensuring empty/full and half drums are neetly stacked including pallets and the management of half drums and full drums must be maintained as per operational procedures.
• Movement of ingredients stock to production areas
• Moving stock from Inbound into blending allocations, etc. including pallets
• Housekeeping
