10-TON FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Location: Blackheath, Cape Town
Employment Type: Probationary Period with Potential for Permanent Placement
Start Date: Immediate
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 14:45
Overtime: By exception
Salary: Market-related, based on experience and qualifications

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client in Blackheath, Cape Town is looking for an experienced and qualified 10-Ton Forklift Operator to join their team.
The successful candidate will have proven experience operating 10-ton forklifts and be confident in handling heavy materials safely and efficiently.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Valid forklift operating certification/licence
• Previous experience in heavy material handling
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
• Ability to safely load, unload and move heavy materials
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good safety awareness and attention to detail

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate a 10-ton forklift
• Load, unload and move heavy materials
• Handle and position materials safely and efficiently
• Complete daily/pre-operation forklift inspections
• Report mechanical faults or safety concerns
• Maintain a safe and organised work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and operational instructions
• Assist with general material-handling duties when required
